Marci De Vries, Vice President, Digital
Imre Communications
With over fifteen of marketing, communications and public relations experience,
the last ten of which have been spent specializing in online
marketing and search
engine optimization (SEO), Marci De Vries's primary focus is on
developing communications channels and providing internet marketing
services for customer acquisition and increased revenue generation.
De Vries' Company, MDV Communications, was acquired by Imre Communications in 2007. During her career, she has helped dozens
of companies build their marketing presence, develop their corporate
voice, and create mechanisms for communicating with their target
audiences.
Marci has worked with National Public Radio (NPR), where she was
involved with their internal communications program for NPR Member
Stations. Additionally, while working with Gr8, a Web developer in
Baltimore, she created the public relations department and helped
develop additional revenue sources by developing search engine
optimization and online
marketing promotions offerings for clients. At Choice Hotels
International, she led the effort to use new media and contact
management systems for public relations efforts. At Baker Book
House, she executed publicity campaigns for over seventy authors per
year.
On the entrepreneurial side, De Vries has worked with early-stage
startups to build awareness, help attract customers and prepare for
venture funding.
Marci De Vries received her BA in English from Western Michigan University
and her Masters degree in Public Communication from American
University. She also holds a certificate of Internet
Advertising and Promotion from Georgetown University. She has
been a guest lecturer in marketing and communications for the American Marketing Association, AMBest, and MBA
courses at The Johns Hopkins University and Loyola College.
